The Churchill Fellows’ Association of Western Australia (Inc) was established in the early 1970s as the organisation representing Churchill Fellows in Western Australia. The Association runs special events for its members, including the annual Perth dinner to honour our new Fellows. Other events include talks by Churchill Fellows and participatory activities for its members.

The objects of the CFAWA are to:

(a) Establish and maintain communications between Churchill Fellows from or resident in Western Australia;

(b) Hold meetings for Fellows to make presentations on their findings during the tenure of their fellowship;

(c) Provide opportunities for WA Fellows to meet other persons associated with the Winston Churchill Memorial
Trust, or other Fellows visiting this State;

(d) Provide information and assistance to the newly appointed Churchill Fellows, and hold an annual dinner at
which they may be welcomed to the body of Fellows in this Association;

(e) Provide support to the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust in the pursuit of its objectives through assisting the
Trust’s WA Regional Committee in such ways as it may request and/or the Association is able to undertake;

(f) Receive donations and raise funds for the support of the objectives of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust,
and in particular to work for the establishment and maintenance of a special Fellowship to be named for the
Association;

(g) To arrange or engage in such other activities and perform such other acts as may be to the benefit of the Winston Memorial Trust or the public appreciation of the Trust or of the work of its Fellows.

Nearly 400 Churchill Fellowships have been awarded in Western Australia, across a multitude of professional, artistic, academic, trade and other disciplines.

The Churchill Fellows’ Association is a not-for-profit incorporated association, and has similar counterpart organisations in other States of Australia. The WA Association’s patron is the Governor of Western Australia, is His Excellency Malcolm McCusker AC CVO QC.

Never Give In...

"This is the lesson: never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honour
and good sense. Never yield to force; never

yield to the apparently overwhelming might

of the enemy."

Sir Winston Churchill
Harrow School, 29 October 1941
